their wintering grounds in Mexico. Conservation groups are urging the public to help protect these beautiful creatures. Saturday. Take a guided walk into 90-acre grasslands - a
pastoral setting that is the home of rare birds like Meadowlarks, Bobwhites and Grasshopper Sparrows. The Oakland Audubon Society sponsors this free event and will be on hand to help with bird identification. Wear comfortable shoes, dress for the weather and bring binoculars. Water and
coffee provided. Meet at the Clarkston Road parking lot. This is National Trails Day and River Day in the Clinton River Watershed. Park entry fee is required.
