Founded in 1835 Highland Township is a Main Street Oakland County community that enjoys a rich heritage, acres of parkland and a cozy home-town atmosphere. Located on the western border of Oakland County, this 36-square-mile community is well positioned on the M-59 corridor and home to over 19,000 people.
Known for its recreational amenities, Highland Township features over 25 lakes, 2 municipal parks and is home to the 5,900-acre Highland Recreation Area. Recreational activities include fishing, hunting, downhill and cross country skiing, equestrian trails camping, boating, golfing and canoeing.
