Incorporated in 1845, Orion Township is a growing community that takes pride in its natural amenities. This 35 square-mile township is home to over 33,000 residents, 27 lakes, 30 miles safety path miles and over 4,000 acres of local, county and state parks. 

Recreational amenities include boating, swimming, hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, biking, soccer, baseball and playscapes. In addition, Orion Oaks County Park boasts a 14-acre fenced dog park with lake access, wide-open spaces and on-site drinking water.
