Established in 1817, Rochester is Oakland County’s oldest community. Located in Northern Oakland County, this 3.8 square mile city features picturesque neighborhoods, Oakland University, Meadow Brook Hall and is home to over 10,000 people. Natural amenities include the Clinton River, Paint and Stony creeks, the Paint Creek Trail, the Clinton River Trail and scenic parks. Rochester’s historic downtown features over 200 shops, salons and eateries in a family-friendly environment. Throughout the year, downtown Rochester hosts a variety events including the Rochester Heritage Festival, Farmers Market, Arts & Apples Festival and the Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade.
