Where can I camp?
Addison Oaks east of Lake Orion/Oxford area and Groveland Oaks near Holly.

When are the parks open for camping?
In 2014, Addison Oaks will be open May 2 through October 18. Groveland Oaks will be open May 2 through September 27.

Are cabins available to rent?

Both Addison and Groveland have four, 4-person cabins. Both also offer 6-person cabins and yurts (4 at Addison; 6 at Groveland) featuring two bunks and a queen-sized bed. All of the 6-person cabins and two of the 4-person cabins are wheelchair accessible. Cabins contain table and chairs with mini refrigerator as well as a picnic table and fire circle. Cabins may be reserved in advance by calling the park directly.

How much does it cost?
Camping Fees

Is the daily use fee (vehicle permit) included in the camping fee?
Yes, the camping fee includes the daily use fee. The Annual Vehicle Permit can't be used for a second vehicle. The second vehicle registration is $5.

Do you offer discounts for senior campers?
Yes, individuals ages 62 and older are entitled to $2 off site fee per night.

What is there to do at the campgrounds?
Both parks offer pedalboat rentals, sand volleyball courts and an award-winning Campground Recreation Program. Entertainment includes live bands, a disc jockey, arts & crafts, games, contests and more. Campers also receive visits from the Oakland County Parks dunk tank, climbing wall, puppet mobile, sports mobile and other mobile recreation units.

Addison Oaks is a 1,140-acre park with a "North woods" atmosphere, featuring two lakes, guarded swim area, bicycle rentals, disc golf course, paved trails and more.

Groveland Oaks is a family camping park featuring a swimming beach with spiraling waterslide, large playscape, an 18-hole Mini Golf Course, skateboard park and paved hiking trails.

Can I reserve a campsite in advance?
Reservations are taken for cabins, yurts, group camping, and selected individual sites. The balance of the individual sites are rented on a first-come, first-served basis.  Call 248-858-1400 for reservations.

When can I register to camp?

Please report to the park office between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. on the day you wish to begin camping.  Bring your tent or camper; you must set up your site at time of registration.

What size RV can you accommodate?
We can accommodate any size unit.

What amenities does each campsite include?
Each modern campsite offers cement or gravel pad with water and electric (20, 30 and 50 amp outlets on each site). Each site has a picnic table, fire pit and two-car parking area. There is a sanitary dump station at each park.

Can I buy an Annual Vehicle Permit over the Internet?
Yes! You can purchase both the Annual Vehicle Permit and the Parks Perks Pass online or by mail.  Permits can also be purchased in person at various locations throughout the County.

What are the camping rules and regulations?
Oakland County Parks rules booklets are available at time of check-in or in advance at the park offices. Requests can also be processed by e-mail (please provide mailing address) or by calling 248.858.0906.

Are dogs allowed at the campground?
Yes! Dogs are allowed at individual campsites, but not at the cabins or yurts. They must be kept on a six-foot leash and not left unattended. Dogs are not allowed in public waterways, buildings or in picnic areas.
