Campgrounds

Set your reservation beginning Feb. 1 for individual campsites and yurts for the 2016 camping season!

Embark on a new adventure or continue outdoor family traditions at Oakland County Parks campgrounds! Choose Addison Oaks or Groveland Oaks for individual, family or group camping. Both parks offer cabins, yurts, modern and group sites.

Yurts, anyone?
Yurts are a unique camping option. Yurts are circular, spacious canvas-walled tents. Each yurt sleeps six and is furnished with two bunk beds, one double bed, night stand and mirror, small refrigerator and table and chairs.  The yurt sites at Addison Oaks and Groveland Oaks also feature a fire circle, outside grill and and a picnic table.

An award-winning Campground Recreation Program keeps campers busy and entertained.

Independence Oaks offers camping for organized youth groups only. Camp Wilderness features two organized youth group camping areas accommodating 60-100 campers. Platform tents, heated, modern bathhouse with showers and restrooms, camping amenities and more!

Addison Oaks and Groveland Oaks campgrounds offer in-park drop-off recycling containers for paper, plastics and tin.

 Dogs are Welcome!

Dogs are Welcome!

Canine companions are welcome at the campgrounds! We ask that dogs not be left alone at the campsite, and be kept on a 6-foot leash when exploring the park with their owners. Dogs are not allowed in public buildings, waterways, beaches, cabins or yurts.
