Dog Swims

When summer ends and fall begins, the dogs come out to play at Oakland County Parks! In response to the growing trend of people recreating with their favorite four-legged friends, Oakland County Parks and Recreation offers four dog swims after facilities close to the human public.

Red Oaks and Waterford Oaks waterparks host special Dog Swims approximately one week after closing (so that all chemicals dissipate from the water). Don't worry folks -- the pools are drained, cleaned, and then cleaned again before refilling in the spring!)

The beaches at Groveland Oaks and Independence Oaks beckon in late September and early October.
