Lyon Oaks

Lyon Oaks in Wixom, preserves 800 acres of environmentally-sensitive wetlands within a 1,041-acre park.

  • Park features a 13-acre, fenced dog park
  • Day-use area includes a picnic shelter, playground and recreation fields
  • Approximately 6 miles of trails for biking, cross-country skiing and on-leash dog walking
  • Geocaching
  • Daily park pass or Annual Vehicle Permit required; available at the Banquet Center, Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. 
  • Archery deer hunting in a limited area from Oct. 1 - Jan. 1. Michigan DNR rules apply.
  • Arthur Hills-designed 18-hole golf course and driving range
  • Complete banquet and meeting facilities. Food service by Oak Management; for reservations, call 248.437.9200.
  • Lyon Oaks County Park is certified by the Michigan Turfgrass Environmental Stewardship Program. MTESP certification requires the park to exceed requirements of environmental laws, protect water resources and enhance the maintenance of turfgrass and open spaces. See other ways the Oakland County Parks is protecting the environment.

    Park Hours of Operation: 
    Approximately 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset. The park is open daily, year-round (except Christmas day, when only the Dog Park is open).  The Banquet Center is also open year-round.
