Oakland County Trail Master Plan
The Oakland County Trails Master Plan has been developed to provide a framework for creating a connected system of greenways and trails throughout Oakland County. This non-motorized system is envisioned to serve a diverse range of users, providing safe and well-maintained linkages to important natural, cultural and civic destinations and other points of interest within and outside of the county.

Trail Planning in Your Community
Active trail and pathway planning has been going on in Oakland County for more than 30 years.  When planning for pathways in a community, an essential step is determining key destinations such as schools, downtowns, neighborhoods, commercial centers and parks and how to connect them together.  Here are a few tools to help communities identify components of a trail/path network and link into the Oakland County Trail Network:
