The Oakland County Trails Advisory Council (OTAC) is a self-guiding organization of trail and greenway stakeholders that is sponsored by Oakland County Parks and Recreation. OTAC was formed in 2002 to assist public and private groups in the development of trails and greenways in Oakland County through the sharing of knowledge and experience.
The council encourages the connection of individually managed trails and helps to initiate actions that will result in the continued planning, development and maintenance of a complete non-motorized countywide trail network for the citizens of Oakland County.
OTAC consists of members of all major trail groups in Oakland County, as well as representatives from county departments, state agencies and several non-profit organizations. The council provides a venue for communities to share information and to work cooperatively across jurisdictional lines to create a county- and region-wide network of trails for residents of and visitors to Oakland County.
