Wint Nature Center

The Nature Center invites residents and regional visitors to explore and attend on-site programming and special events. Nature interpretive staff will be on site for scheduled programs and events.

The Wint Nature Center provides hands-on natural history exhibits as well as a feeding station viewing area. Year-round educational programs are conducted by parks system's natural resources staff. Community outreach and specialized nature programs include StarLab, Nature Discovery and Scout Badge Days.

  • Field Trips can be scheduled for groups of 15 or more.
  • Scout Badge Days are held during the school year. 
  • "Wild" Birthday Parties for ages 4 - 12. Looking for a fun, different and educational program for your child’s next birthday celebration? Call for details, cost and availability.
  • Cohn Amphitheater with shelter and fire circle accommodates 150-200 guests for events or weddings.
  • Rubach Sensory Garden with gazebo and water garden, located near the nature center.
  • Community outreach and off-site programs available. Sample Programs

Park Hours of Operation:
Approximately 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset, or as posted at park entrance. Open year round. Closed Christmas Day.
