The place to be on June 8 is Twin Chimneys area at Independence Oaks County Park. A special announcement is planned by the parks commission at 5:45 p.m. Tim Horton’s will provide free coffee at the event.
The concert is free to the public. A vehicle entry fee applies, however park entry is free for veterans with disabilities or 2013 Oakland County Parks and Recreation annual vehicle permit holders.

BBQ Battle is limited to 24 teams on a first-come, first-served basis. Entry fee is $35 per team. Check-in is 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Competitors may use wood, charcoal or gas. Submit ribs to the judges at 3:30 p.m.
