The day will feature the Michigan Honored Citizen of the Year Award and an awards program aimed at recognizing the accomplishments and contributions of senior members of the community as well as entertainment and special senior programming.

Oakland County Parks is partnering with Ford Arts, Beats & Eats to recognize and salute veterans. Veterans can select to receive four free admission reservations for any day of the festival or to attend a special tribute concert with VIP passes for a special concert Monday, Sept. 7 at 4:30 p.m. on the Michigan Lottery stage with Your Generation performing for veterans and their guests. Tickets for both events will be on a first come first serve basis.
Orion Oaks Park/Day Use; 9/12/2015 9:00:00 AMSpecial EventsOakland County Parks is giving away free wood chips at Orion Oaks County Park from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The wood chips consist of assorted types of wood collected from pruning and storm damage. Bring shovels or pitchforks, wheelbarrows and buckets. All wood chips must be manually self-loaded into pick-up trucks and small trailers with a tarp. No commercial haulers allowed. Orion Oaks County Park is located at 2301 Clarkston Road in Orion Township.

Join us for this action-packed afternoon with pumpkin carving for the whole family! Get in the autumn spirit with a creepy critter talk, cider and donuts, crafts, a live bat display and more. Each registrant will receive a pumpkin to carve for showcasing at the evening Trick-or-Tees event at Red Oaks Golf Course and available for pick-up at select times after Trick-or-Tees.
