Oakland County Parks Outdoor Adventure programs offer activities in a natural environment that involve an element of perceived risk, inspire character and leadership development, and promote self-discovery and cooperative teambuilding. The activities are designed to challenge perceived notions and limitations, instill compassion and forge a relationship between humans and the natural world, actively engaging people of all ages and walks of life in outdoor pursuits.
Outdoor recreation involves experiences in the natural world involving the pursuit of leisure, fun, play and self-fulfillment, and including the six dimensions of health physical, social, intellectual, emotional, environmental and spiritual.
Please note that Oakland County Parks and Recreation staff routinely photographs and videotapes guests enjoying Oakland County Parks, facilities, events and equipment. These images may be used in print, visual presentations and on the website to promote the parks system. If you do not wish yourself and/or children to be photographed, please inform the photographer at that time. Enjoy your visit!
