The Oakland Astronomy Club utilizes a field and surrounding areas at Addison Oaks County Park for night sky exploration. Addison Oaks is home to the club's 17.5" dobsonian telescope.
The Astronomy Club also supports seasonal "Star Parties" at the Wint Nature Center at Independence Oaks County Park. Volunteers share their knowledge and enthusiasm for astronomy by assisting program participants view the night sky after a "warm up" in Starlab, an inflatable planetarium.
